About
WARSAW is a family owned and operated custom home builder providing quality craftsmanship to the Treasure Coast.
WARSAW Custom Contractors was founded by Robert Walsh in 2025. Rob has a lifetime of construction experience at every level from the ground up. He also has a background in banking, business and finance.
In high school, Rob started his career working in a lumbar yard. After graduating high school, he worked for a commercial construction company as a laborer and then with several crews framing residential homes. Rob left the hot summers of labor work outside and was employed by Home Depot for many years. First in their millworks department, then in lumber and ending his employment as a pro desk associate working closely with numerous contractors. He also ran a small side business building decks and doing finish work.
He then left the construction field in 2007, working as a lead teller for Washington Mutual Bank.
He married his high school sweet heart in 2009 and the following year they moved to the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean while his wife attended veterinary school. During that time, Rob became a scuba diving instructor and a boat captain. He also attended Devry University and graduated with a bachelors degree in business management and entrepreneurship.
They moved back to the US and then to the Treasure Coast of Florida in 2013, with the original goal of opening a scuba diving shop. However, life had different plans and they welcomed twin girls in 2014. Rob hung up his hardhat and scuba equipment and became a stay at home dad, taking care of both girls, one of whom had a large amount of medical obstacles early in life.
He rejoined the work force in 2016 and worked for Bass Pro shops as their gun vault specialist, then in boat sales and eventually as a service writer in their boat shop. Despite Rob’s love for the outdoors and diving, his first love was building homes and he joined Maranda Homes as a building superintendent in 2020. He completed his contractors license 2025 and subsequently reached his dream of owning his own contracting business, WARSAW Custom Contracting.
